CDC Unveils Dashboard to Track Bird Flu Amid Dairy Farm Outbreaks
Highly Contagious Strain Kills Millions of Birds Nationwide
Health Officials Monitor Spread, Update Data Weekly
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched a dashboard to monitor the spread of avian influenza, also known as bird flu, following a significant outbreak that has impacted dairy farms nationwide.
Since March, a highly contagious strain of the virus has led to the deaths of millions of birds across the country. One of the world's largest outbreaks, it has prompted poultry farmers to slaughter massive flocks.
The CDC dashboard will provide real-time data on the outbreak, including the number of infected farms and states, as well as the latest monitoring and testing results. Data will be updated weekly on Fridays.
